Please join us this Saturday, June 28th, during regular shop hours (10am-4pm) for yarn games (in honor of the summer Olympics) and homemade ice cream! Plus we'll be introducing our new frequent buyer card!!
 
Thanks to you and your wonderful support of the shop, we've accomplished an amazing thing.  A small local yarn shop is growing despite a down-turn in the economy.  I guess many of you think like I do and consider yarn a necessity! In all sincerity, I thank you so much and hope you'll be with us Saturday to take part in the festivities. Let the Yarn Games begin!

Knit Off ~ 2008
Calling all knitters!!
We want as many knitters as possible to take part in our big event: The Fastest Knitter Contest.  It's all in fun!  And just when you think you have no chance of winning, someone might just drop a needle (or a stitch)! The thrill of victory....the agony of defeat!
Event Schedule:
1:00 ~ First Round (all participants)
1:20 ~ Second Round (the top 50% will move on to round 2)
1:40 ~ Third round (the fastest 4 will become our finalist!!)
2:00 ~ Final Round!!
 
Our winner receives a $50 Gift Certificate and a whole lot of ooohhhs and aaaahhhhs!!
AND....each participants will be entered into a drawing for an additionsl $50 Gift Certificate!! So sign up....you have nothing to lose and you might just win some yarn bucks!

11:00-Relay Yarn Toss (grab a partner and get ready!!)
3:00 - Yarn Shot Put (warm up those arms)
All Day: The Guessing Game (hummmm...no clues here)

  • Great American Afghan Club ~ Date Change this month from the first Thursday to July 17th!!
  • Book Club meets July 7th, 6-8pm, reading Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.  Pick up a copy and join us!
