I'm a proud mama and wanted to share our news with you!  This Mother's Day weekend, Zach graduated from ASU and we had a wonderful family gathering in Boone.  And....a new job is in the works! Right now, he's on his first trip to NYC to participate in a design show. We've got a lot going on at the shop!  This week marks Laura's last official week. :(  Although we know she'll be back to visit us AND to teach yarn dying workshops, I'm still a little sad. We all wish her the best!   Welcome SAMANTHA!  Fortunately, we have a terrific young knitter working with us for a few weeks this summer.  Samantha is getting married the end of July so she is playing in the yarn shop until then AND helping us out.  She experienced her first Knit Night last night and we didn't run her off!! She's a true fun-girl!   In June, we will be lucky enough to welcome Tiffany!  From 3 Kittens yarn shop (BIG!), Tiffany joins Knit Picky as a full-time, regular (whew) employee.  She moves here from Minneapolis and I think we can offer her better weather and a fun time in the shop, don't you?  I can't wait to have her experience, organization skills and personality in the shop!   Ann Marie was at in the shop last night so even though she is only "working" 1 or 2 days per month, she's still a regular so that makes me happy!   In fact, all my customers mean so much to me.  We have accomplished something BIG in this little shop of ours!  Thank you so much for buying from us,  special ordering and your patience when things don't arrive quickly.  Every little bit helps!  And remember...yarn shops are gems.. visit any LYS while traveling to also give them your support.        Happy Knitting, Jo     Sammie Jo Thomas Knit Picky, Inc.
